Three Legged Crow Studio is a small, independent design studio founded in 2025. We work across brand identity, digital design, and strategy — usually in combination, always with intention.
We’re based in Thunder Bay. We’re deliberately small with a policy of never taking on more work than we can do well.
We founded the studio on a single conviction — that the best design comes from genuine understanding of what a client is trying to do and why. Everything else follows from that.
How We Work
Research first
We don't open a file until we understand the problem. That means interviews, audits, competitor analysis, and a written strategic brief before any creative work begins.
Fewer clients, deeper work
We cap our active projects to ensure every client gets the attention the work deserves. We'd rather do four things well than eight things adequately.
Honest counsel
We tell clients what we think, including when we think they're wrong. We're not in the business of producing work we know could be better.
Long relationships
Most of our work comes from clients we've worked with before. We think of our best relationships as ongoing — a studio on retainer for the life of the brand, not a one-time vendor.
Craft, always
The quality of the work matters to us independent of whether anyone else notices. We hold ourselves to a standard that's internal, not external.
No unnecessary complexity
We resist the temptation to make things more complicated than they need to be. Simple, clear, precise — these are virtues, not limitations.

Self Sufficiency
Relying on corporations is out and controlling your own online presence is in. No more being trapped by monthly fees, locked-in systems, or uncustomizable templates. All of our services are built with preserving your voice and your independence in mind. Whether we end up collaborating for years or we decide to part ways, you won't be stuck relying on my services or systems, and everything we made together will be easily transferrable to any platform you wish.
Hospitality
When you have someone over to your home, you want them to feel comfortable and at-ease. It should be the same for your website and content. Your online visitors will feel intuitively at home, and not left wondering where so-and-so link will take them or where they need to turn to find the page they're looking for.
Curiosity

AI Policy
We at Three Legged Crow Studio believe that the best way to reach your human audience is through human content.
The main use cases for AI here at the studio include code checking, audience and SEO research, spell checking, and sugguestions on how to improve the flow of our content.
That being said, you have the final say on how much AI is used on your project. If you want no AI, you’ll get no AI. If you want whole AI written articles, I’ll do that for you too.
Our website design service relies heavily on Claude Code, though rest assured that we have experience coding websites before AI was released in the world.
